Dr Krishnakumar V is an accomplished professional with 39years of rich experience worked in various capacities in Industries and Academic Institutions. In his 23 years of academic experience, he has been serving as principal in reputed engineering colleges for the past 16-years. Prior to that, he was working in the industry for a period of 16 years as a technical and administrative professional.

He is an alumnus of PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore and obtained B.Tech., M.Tech. and Ph.D., in the field of Textile Technology. He has published many research articles in Textile Technology and in allied disciplines in reputed and peer-reviewed journals having high impact factor.

He is widely known for his vast administrative and academic monitoring skills, which help the institutions march towards excellence. He has executed various funding projects like APSSDC-Siemens skill development project, AICTE sponsored projects, DSIC, NSIC sponsored projects and DST Science and Engineering Research Board projects.

He is the recipient of many awards, including RIETER International Award from Switzerland for the UG project guided and the best project award continuously for three years at the college level. He is a member of the board of studies in various autonomous colleges and university textile departments. He is having membership in ISTE, IE, TAI and CSI.
